August 2017 News
A reminder that there is no Sunday walk for August due to the Summer Festival.
Come and find the Walkers are Welcome stall this coming Sunday in Grange Park next to the Salem Church from 10 am onwards.
There has been a superb response to our walking programme for the Summer Festival. Although most walks are now fully booked, a few spaces are still available.
- Horncliffe Well tomorrow, Saturday 19 August (3 places due to cancellation);
- Yorkshire Heritage Way from Saltaire to Burley on Wednesday 23 August (6 places)
- Poetry walk with Colin Speakman on Friday 25 August in the morning (8 places).
- Our final walk on Sunday 27 August to Bleach Mill does not need to be booked, so come and join us for a leisurely walk and tea and cakes at Bleach Mill.
Planning application affecting Hag Farm footpath
A planning application was made in March this year for two large properties on Green Belt land adjacent to the footpath from the Heather Rise cattle arch to Hag Farm Road.
The application was refused, but has now been re-submitted.
If you would like to comment on the application submissions need to be made to Bradford Council by 29 August 2017.
The application is no 17/04724/OUT and can be viewed at
Yet More Rambles from the Roundhouse

It includes 5 circular walks between 5 and 7 miles including tomorrow’s Festival walk to Horncliffe Well.
